Watching over Nest

When visiting the Osprey nest the other day the male Osprey was sitting out on his pole with the female Osprey on another pole not too far away. She quickly flew back to the nest to protect the chicks. I am now able to report that one chick is big enough to poke his head up and just above the twigs at the top of the nest. Hopefully more have survived and will be visible shortly. The male Osprey stayed on the pole watching over the nest and ready to fly back if needed.

Thanks for comments Heather. There head will move from side to side when they are accessing for a threat. It can be quite cute to watch.

Like very much those shot with only the subject and the sky. You got it very sharp. Agree with Heather about the eye contact (with the zoom). Quite impress with the claws too.
