I first spotted this buck sniffing around under the spruce tree beside him. When he stood up he was looking a little tired but regardless he was on a mission to find the Doe that had left that scent for him. He allowed me a few moments to capture a couple of shots of him before he continued on with his tracking.

You pic the big buck in a very nice pose, showing its beautyful antlers in the sunlight. He look fat and healthy. Will sure get the best of the harem. The simple compo with green tree and golden grass is magical. I am glad you have opportunity for shots so beautyful.

He stands out beautifully against the grasses and dark trees here, lovely composition and detail of the buck too, Debra. Judging by that pose he's a busy boy these days and you've captured the moment and mood perfectly. Great shot.
