It's mid October, cold air and shorter days, I'm in Sainte-Martine hoping to see Snow Geese in their migration. But they are late this year and I found a Great Egret that is still lingering in the area. Chateauguay River in this corner is free of ice and there's still plenty of fish for the hunting bird. It's past 04:00 pm and it's getting dark already. I panned the camera at ISO 3200, 1/500 sec at f/13 to capture the Great Egret in flight at burst of 6 frames/second.
