It's almost mid November but the lake is not frozen yet and water fowl can still hunt for food in it. A flock of Hooded Mergansers (3 males, 1 female) are fishing, these birds are easily scared, crouched near a tree I stayed still and waited patiently until they wandered closer. One of the males caught a crawfish, he has quickly brought the prey out of the reach of the other birds. Captured with Sony A7R IV, Sony FE 200-400mm, 1/640sec, f/13.0, ISO 250.
