Schoen Park

Vancouver Island Mountains are often overlooked by hikers, but their awe inspiring beauty deserves your attention. This photo has Schoen Lake in the front and Mt Schoen in the back. It is one of Vancouver Islands lesser known and remote parks. Towering mountain peaks and massive old growth fir trees make up the majority of the area. It truly needs to be seen in person to appreciate the views and definitely worthy of the name "Schoen", a German word for "beautiful".
