Trumpeter Swans on Skaha Lake (New Years Day 2023)

New Years day 2023 brought beautiful blue skies and lots of sunshine to Penticton BC. My family and I were out enjoying the day when we spotted a group of adult and juvenile trumpeter swans on Skaha Lake. I had my camera with me so I jumped out of the car. I observed them for a few minutes , taking some photos. I was thrilled to capture this one showing movement of the wings and water as well as two of the juveniles eating some lake plant lunch. I just love how their bright bodies stand out against the rippling sapphire blue water. What an amazing start to the year !
