Ok... stay with me folks because this is a rare event... . As I was driving down the highway, out of the corner of my eye, I could see that old familiar flight pattern... low and slow, swooping side to side, hunting for its pray... the Northern Harrier. . I quickly pull over, grab my camera and brace myself inside the truck as it's literally flying 40' away from me in the ditch on the other side of the highway. . There are times as a photographer when you get "THE" shot and nothing feels better than taking a photo right from the card, to the computer - putting it in for post processing (editing) and seeing... Nope, not a single thing is needed!!!! . This image is as captured within the camera at the time of shooting and this is one of I'd say about a dozen captures that need absolutely zero editing or at a minimum, quick run through a denoise program ONLY to get it as clean as possible for printing. Social media, you would never tell! . I present to you, the raw and unedited portrait of a female Northern Harrier! . Jan 2023 Highway 40, St. Clair Township, Ontario . Canon R7 Sigma 150-600
