Curtain Call

It was a dreary kinda day, but I decided to head out to a local park for a bit. I walked around, snapped a few images here and there, but nothing all that significant. As I was leaving, I noticed a hint of white tucked around a little island in the middle of the "lake" and decided to hold tight... sure enough, after a couple of minutes, out popped this beautiful and elegant Great Egret. I began to click away, as it was in hunt mode, looking for fish to strike, while preening along the way. I took a few images and then made my way home. Later that day, I was pairing down my images and my heart skipped a beat, as I saw what I'd actually captured in a moment of time, frozen forever... "The Curtain Call"
