I rose early and decided to hit the backcountry roads of Southwestern Ontario, in rural St. Clair Township. The fog was heavy and I knew there were going to be images of a lifetime coming. I'd already captured some images that I knew were going to be absolutely stunning, but I continued as I saw the sun peaking over the horizon, knowing that if the conditions were as I expected, it was going to be a stunner! I pulled down an old familiar road that I take almost weekly if not a few times a week, where wildlife, birds and more are always found. I only had my telephoto lens on (Sigma 150-600) so when I saw this image, I knew I had to use what I had, although one of my other lenses would have been better for this landscape, I'm actually grateful it was all I had because of how this turned out!
