Ile des Moulins on Rivière des Mille Iles at the centre of Terrebonne has a heron rookery. The big migratory birds come back every year in March-April, choose a mate and start building their nest. Twig by twig picked from the ground of the island are air lifted to the tree top. Sony A7R IV, Sony FE 200-600mm, teleconverter X2, f/13, 1/1000sec, ISO 800.
