We had the good fortune of clear skies over my house on Manitoulin Island for this shot of a magnificent conjunction between our two brightest planets. Venus is the brighter of the two, just below Jupiter.

The info to the right says the photo was taken on March 1, but it was in fact taken on February 28. On March 1, the two planets had reached their closest, being side by side. After that, they went their separate ways, with Venus rising higher in higher each night.
