Male Wood Ducks are the most colorful waterfowl in Canada. I sat on a rock about 20 meters from the bank of Rivière Des Prairies, in a clump of trees but not hidden from sight, camera with tele-lens on a monopod, and waited. As I didn't move after close to 30 minutes they got bolder and came on shore, climbed on a rock to rest from their morning feeding.
