On the evening of June 11th, 2023 Waterton Lakes National Park (which lays where the prairies meet the mountains) experienced a storm where over 50 mm of rain fell in a very short period of time causing a great deal of damage to many paths and roads throughout the park. Just before the storm, I witnessed this scene. It was as if the coyote (coming from the prairie) went to warn the bear to move to higher ground! The bear did just that as we watched him saunter across a bridge and up the mountain. Fortunately we also left at that time! Captions welcome!
