Old Yellow Door

Well, as this expedition winds itself down and we find ourselves preparing for goodbyes this coming Sunday; I've had a little time tonight, as I sit in a rented room in a condo from some wonderful folks here in St. John's. . I figured I'd get to editing something as I have weeks of editing ahead of me and images that will blow my mind, let alone yours! . So, without further adieu... Here is an image from Quidi Vidi, Newfoundland that I'm just absolutely in love with! These little cottage like homes, surrounded by rock and water, with highlights of greenery while the subtle fog hangs in the air, just oozes what is quintessential Newfoundland! . It's the little things, such as the pop of yellow in the cottage door or the anchor sign on the little white building or even the dormers that adorn the top of the cottage! . I call this place (Newfoundland) home. It's where my father was born, where I spent most of my childhood summers and where I fell in absolute love with an island that clings to every fiber of my heart! . There's a gentle pull, always calling me home, and until that time comes; for now, I will live through the memories collected over the years in my images, or in my dreams, as I see and feel the oceans beckoning! .
