The clouds were almost pitch black as this lightning storm passed across the sky. We've had more than the usual number of these storms recently but this one was livelier than usual so I decided to try my luck. Taken hand held in manual mode.

Awesome capture Heather. It deserves a frame. In expand mode the trees and clouds really show off the stunning composition. It almost looks like the lightning hit down.

Beautyful strike of lightening Heather. Very sharp and the line of backlight trees is interesting. Well done. I try those night shots once in a while but never succeed so far.
