Belted Kingfisher

One of the more challenging birds for me to photograph because of their skittish nature. This one just happened to land in a tree close to where I was standing while trying to get shots of another species, then to get a slightly better angle on the bird I had to shift one step to the side very very slowly so as not too spook him, I raised my lens and managed to get a few snaps of this handsome Kingfisher within close proximity before he took off fishing again.
