The island of Newfoundland is called "the rock" for good reason. Most people immediately think of the cliffs, rocky barrens and rugged coastlines. Not everyone is familiar with some of Newfoundland's beautiful expansive sandy beaches. This is a shot of one such beach last week, it was an early morning with some fog and mist but still tropical in feeling.
