Juvenile Belted Kingfisher

A real treat last week , a juvenile female Belted KIngfisher puts on a little show for me, it and another kingsfisher were hanging in this tree, I guess a good vantage point for fishing maybe.. Taken from the kayak,, seen and photographed along the Tay River in Lanark County, in eastern Ontario north of Kingston. This is such a rarity, usually I might manage a shot of their rear end as they're high tailing it AWAY from me as fast as possible, this one co-operated nicely and I'm quite pleased to share this one with you all.
