Sturgeon Moon over Muskoka

On August 1st, 2023 I was lucky enough to be at my cottage on Lake Muskoka for one of the best moons of the year. We sat down for my sister's birthday dinner and before cake I forced everyone to come down to the beach to watch the moonrise with me. I spent about 45 minutes finding what I hoped would be the perfect composition for the rise. Thankfully moon tracking apps are accurate and the moon popped up right where I had hoped. I don't usually shoot at night but this night was absolutely worth it.
