I spent a week in Victoria, BC this summer visiting friends and while walking through the park towards the beach I noticed a bunch of people with cameras gathered around a cluster of trees. I didn't realize it at the time but this was where I would be spending the rest of my evenings on my trip. I spent the next 5 days shooting thousands of pictures of this baby great horned owl, it's sibling and it's parents. Getting the opportunity to spend this much time with these amazing creatures was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. There is just something magical about locking eyes with your subject through your lens, a feeling that transcends species.

Wonderful captures! I have recently found a location to photograph hummingbirds. Not having seen them so abundant before, I am overjoyed!
