I watched this Juvenile Red Tailed Hawk hunt from up top a hydro pole, shortly after he dove down into the grass in the ditch by the road and mantled whatever it caught for a few moments before taking off with it clutched in its talons with some grass dangling as well. It flew in my direction before flying up over the wire fence to another perch to eat his catch.
