"Bison forage on specific grasses and trees; they create wallows and trails throughout the area; they add nutrients to the soil and they help propagate seeds, therefore contributing to the cycle of life". Information taken from RMNP website. This bison had 4 or 5 other bison following her through the field of grasses to a much larger herd of bison across the road.

She looks so content here surrounded by the soft tones and textures of the season. Very nice composition and detail too. I especially like the eye contact, the tall grasses that frame her and the interesting narrative. A beautiful capture Debra.

Great shot Debra. Viewed with the zoom option colors are appealing. Appreciate the white trees in the background. Great focus job here to show detail of the fur, eye contact and the delicate dead plants he is hiding behind. The ones just below the eye makes for a nice effect.
