The first young Canadian Snow Goose in Powell River British Columbia Canada is spending most of its time on the lawns, feeding up so it cancontinue its migration south. Snow geese fly here from the Russian Arctic without stopping. This is really hard on the young ones, who hatched in late June, so they look down and see our lush buffets (aka lawns) and stop for a breather. This one can fly - and does - and will take up with one of the flocks passing by in the next few days.
