It's that time of year again when migrating trumpeter swans take a pause at various lakes in the region to rest and prepare for another leg of their journey southward. Yesterday I found a better viewing spot across the lake from them and was able to capture part of this group of thirty plus swans. They looked relaxed but by the sound of their vocalizing there was a real sense of excitement in the air too. There was another larger group further down the lake but I was unable to get a good view of them through the trees.

Terrific capture Heather, that new location was a good one. What a beautiful sight to see all those swans together in such a peaceful looking lake.

My artist eye is seduce with that shot Heather. The split screen is magical here. good choice of compo. It is like the background top part is tinted with the blue (or pink) of the water. It compliment so well the water bottom part. The top part has as much interest than the flock of birds in the water, making that a very strong picture. Love it.
