This big white-tailed buck was extremely tired when we passed through his territory. Lightly snowing, he was curled up with his back to the trees and his nose facing into the wind. He lifted his head for a second and then I guess he did not feel he was in any danger so he continued to snooze under the tree. It is these encounters in nature that bring a smile and warmth to my day.

Great shot Debra. this guy looks quite content and maybe exhausted being this time of the year and all. The composition with the trees and grasses are spot on.
Very nice portrait of this handsome and healthy looking buck Debra, he has such an expressive face and looks ready for a rest. I really like the mood of this image and that he felt safe in your presence. Well done.
Wow. Beautyful buck Degra. He sure look fat and healthy. The way he look at you let me think he is a friend of yours. I like very much the overall compo with the buck behind dead grass and the evergreen in the back. Would you say he is more than 3 years old.
Great shot, Debra. Nice that he is so relaxed and not stressed by your presence.
