On our way to the park we spotted quite a few ravens in the ditch flying around a recently killed white-tailed deer. We then spotted this bald eagle watching over the situation from the other side of the highway. The eagle was waiting for an opportunity to swoop in and take over.

You caught the guy on a very nice pose. Impressive bird. Always a pleasure to have some shots on him but I have not seen many this summer.
