In the fall these big birds migrate from the north of Quebec all the way to Florida. On their way south they stop at the Lac St-François Reserve to feed in the surrounding fields and rest during the day then they take off again at sunset. They pick a secluded spot in the middle of the marsh for the midday pause, they can hide safely among the tall grass. I used the 200-600mm tele-lens with a X2 tele-converter to capture this shot.
