Autumn Alpine Still

A stillness floated in the atmosphere of this September morning at Lake O'Hara enabling this mirror reflection along the Adeline-Link Circuit. Amidst the relatively inhospitable conditions of alpine elevations, there is a delicacy to the landscape that is breathtakingly beautiful. Compared to our lifespans this scene is timeless, and has captured the hearts of the likes of us for decades, as recorded in photographs nearly one hundred years old that reflect a scene very much the same as this one today.
