The Eastern Bluebirds are returning to our area! The other day I watched this bonded pair checking out every single nesting box along a long fence line, where the female would carefully inspect the boxes inside while the male would watch from the roof of the nesting box. Unfortunately, it didn't seem that she found anything she liked and it might be because all the boxes were still open after the farmer emptied them last fall.
