An Unexpected Surprise

I went out to practice with my camera at Merrit Island in Welland, Ontario and came across this huge snake that I had never before seen in my life. All I ever see are Garter Snakes. I thought this was a pet let loose, and possibly venomous. Turns out it is an Endangered species The Eastern Milk Snake. Non-Venonmous.
