I was waiting in front of our hedge to see if I could still hear the Chipping Sparrow nestlings. It didn’t take long for one of the parent birds to land in the tree close to me and start doing alarm chips. I knew it wasn’t going to enter the nest with me in its presence so I snapped a quick picture and left so it would feed the babies. I am curious about the meal it was providing... I think the white spider is a crab spider but I don’t know what the other bugs are. Can anyone tell from the picture what the second bug is? And is the green spot between the spider and the bug another creepy crawler of some sort?
