I find Red-winged Blackbirds both beautiful and interesting. The number of behaviours they display along with their personalities make them a favourite image subject for me. This female perched on a cattail over her nest while looking directly at me hits me with a strong sense of feminine energy. Her drive to nest build felt instinctive and unstoppable.
