River Otter hanging out!

This river otter appears to spend a significant time on this dock in the Esquimalt Lagoon grooming and munching on its catch as the dock is covered in discarded shells and exoskeletons. The dock was heavily damaged during a storm and is no longer functional so has been fenced off to the public but is fair game for the wildlife. I waited for ages for the otter to come out into the open so I could get a picture but eventually settled for shooting through the mesh fence and between numerous posts so the picture is heavily cropped.
