    I have been wanting to get a detailed shot of a loon for a while now and yesterday I found the opportunity. As I watched this one go back and forth on a channel of water I noticed he had the same pattern.. So as soon as he dove under I quickly made my way to the spot I thought he would pop up out of the water.. I was only about 15ft away.. Took a few tries, but this shot made the cut.
