This local trail has been a fall and early winter photography favourite of mine for several years. There is an open field beside a mixed forest which provides beautiful lighting once the maple trees turn their autumn colours and lose their leaves. In an adjoining section of the trail is a mature pine forest that is much darker and creates the sense of a tunnel as the pine branches intersect overhead. I made this photo to highlight the transition between these two sections of trail.
