A break from the rain as the wet season begins in Squamish and I made haste to cut the lawn after it had dried as much as it was likely going to before the next day of downpour. Almost finished and I get this feeling, you know the one similar to a “I’m being watched” feeling, but it’s the feeling I should really turn around. As I do, walking up behind me is one of our local garbage rummagers, midnight visitors, fluffy, fishing black bears. I have the weed wacker going in front of me so the bear simply and calmly turns and heads between the two places across from ours. Meandering his way through our complex, he knows where each bin is and knocks every one of them over. Unfortunately for him, his timing was off today and the cans now lay on their sides empty from pick up not a couple hours prior, rather from him dumping their contents and strewing it about on the yards and street.
