It's been a great winter around Prince George B.C for Owls...... more owls that I've seen over the years. Even the pygmy owl seems to be higher in numbers. This one sure blends in great with it's environment. Coming in at a height of 5 to 7 inches or the size of the coffee cup I'm drinking from...... I'm amazed that my eye caught it. He was perched about 100 yards aways. Shot handheld with the Nikon 800PF and Z-8 combo
