Of all the pictures I have ever taken, the longest and farthest I have ever driven for one single photo - is this picture right here. I started my day in the ghost town of Niedpath, Saskatchewan, which is about 50 km (31 Miles) east of Swift Current. From there, I would head west towards the Alberta border to the small hamlet of Liebenthal, Saskatchewan. There is a small park in Leibenthal that I had seen photos of when I was planning my trip. The park was one of those old-school ones with a metal slide and one of those horse things that you rock back and forth. I thought this would make for an interesting stop so I planned the next part of this day around travelling there and heading north. The drive from Niedpath to Liebenthal was 230 km (143 miles) and took me just over 2.5 hours - to take this one photo. It wasn't for nothing, however, because I enjoyed the park and the drive. from Liebenthal, I would then have 7 more stops as I headed north and then east back to Saskatoon. I have driven much farther than 230 km and 2.5 hours, but those long drives and distances were to spend more time and take many more photos. Anyway, here is that picture from the old park in the German hamlet of Liebenthal, Saskatchewan with the hazy sky created by the Alberta wildfires.
