I decided to drive back out and see if this Belted Kingfisher was still around. I saw her sitting in her spot, so I pulled over and rolled my window down. These birds are easily spooked, so I was sure to keep my distance and stay in the vehicle. What never happens, is she flew to a stump that was fairly close to where I was parked, I was so happy!
