Aurora Collage 2 - KP8G4 - part 2 of 3

This is the 2nd aurora collage of 3. I thought this was interesting creating these collage of images of the solar storms I photographed over the last few years. They show the transition of aurora colors and the difference between the strength of solar storms hitting the earth and how the colors of the aurora change depending on how strong the solar storm is. The 3 collages show the transition from the common green aurora usually visible at KP3-KP7 to a KP8G4 (start to get a few colors of purple, red) and the strongest solar storm at KP9 where you get a rainbow of colors across the aurora spectrum...green, red, pink, purple and the rarest color blue. Collage 1 = KP7G3 Collage 2 = KP8G4 Collage 3 = KP9G5 All images taken in Alberta. All photos in each collage were taken on the same night. An interesting note, for the Collage 3 KP9G5 aurora(May 11th, 2024) started off as a I believe a KP7G3(I could be mistaken) it was just after midnight when the solar storm ramped up to a KP9G5. It was the strongest aurora I ever experienced and photographed and the strongest since 2003.
