This younger male Osprey is hanging around in the area close to the Osprey nest that I usually take pictures at. I believe the male osprey from that nest is trying to discourage this younger and smaller male from hanging around in his area. I was kind of wondering if this is a juvenile from a couple of years ago that has returned to the area he was born in hopes of finding a mate to settle down with. Possibly there is another nest close by that I have not seen.

Love the story this image tells, great narrative Debra. He stands out beautifully against the background trees here too.

He certainly is looking for or at something above him. Great shot and story.

Very nice e shot with a great storyline. If there is another nest it would be awesome if you were to locate it and document the behavior there as well

Great shot of that very young osprey Debra. Terific pose that suggest he is testing those wings, he is practicing to fly. The foreground seems to be more lighted than the background so he stands out beautyfuly. He look to enjoy very much his new life.
