Beware, the usual colour of the stripe on the side of the head is bright green but depending on the angle of light the green turn out to violet or dark blue. The bright green head of a mallard duck does the same.

Such a handsome looking bird. He stands out beautifully against the rippled waters. Lovely capture, Yves.

I like the angle it really shows off the teal nicely YVes. The ripples in the water are really quite different and have an interesting effect on the image.

Thanks for the appreciated comments Jane. It is my first encounter with that kind of bird. That's why I like those waterfowl birds photos, the surrounding water can make a big difference.
