We had a very windy day over the weekend and I wasn't sure what birds would be out in it, but I loaded our dogs in my car and headed out. I drove to my favourite spot to see if the old apple tree was still in bloom. It had some blooms, not like it was at the beginning, but the birds also weren't around it this time around. So, I turned around and headed for home. I had my windows rolled down and heard some Cedar Waxwings, so I stopped my car and just watched them for a few minutes. I decided to drive a little further and stop at the river to have a look around, as soon as I stopped my car, I could hear a strange bird. I looked back beside my car and saw a flash of orange! I was so excited to see this Bullocks Oriole sitting in a tree not far from where I was parked. I got settled in my seat and photographed him as he was holding on with everything he had as the wind was whipping him around.
