A fallen dead pine tree gives the shot a nice composition of colours and texture.

The bird is nicely framed by the twigs and branches around it. Lovely.

Beautiful contrasting tones and textures here and with that delightful pose the song sparrow stands out very nicely here. What a lovely capture, Yves.

Agreed Yves, the dead pine needle and texture make for a very interesting composition surrounding the sparrow. A great place for the sparrow to hide from the heat of the day.
