I just found this SD card and went through my photos and found some of a Great Blue Heron I had forgotten all about. I remember that morning as it were yesterday, my settings on my camera were adjusted for something else and I didn't even think to check them before this guy flew in. I was so surprised to see it, I didn't pay attention to my settings until it was too late, or so I thought. I actually lucked out as it gave all the focus on this Heron. I was worried it was going to be too dark, but the sun was shining perfectly on my subject. It was a great surprise!
