Rare and beautiful Noctilucent Clouds

High altitude (80km up) Ice clouds The rare and beautiful Noctilucent clouds are back and they put on a beautiful display last night from 10:30pm-11:30pm and again this morning from 3:00am-4:00am Typically only visible in July as the mesosphere is at its coldest when down here on earth we are starting to see summer temperatures. When the sun is between 6-16º below the horizon these high altitude clouds are illuminated by the sun.
