Close to the Edge! Ready to Flyyyyyy...

We payed a brief visit to a nesting location about 15 minutes from our house the other evening..stayed about 20 minutes with two Great Horned Owlets that had just left the nest that day , one of the adults popped in for a moment while we were there to be sure they were alright...this is one of the juveniles checking out its gear , getting ready for it's journey ..near St John's N.L. ** Note**...this image taken with a 600 mm and a 1.4 Telextender, overall reach about 840 mm and is cropped, we weren't close at all, and minimized our time with them all.
