A bumblebee collects nectar from spirea blossoms. Unlike honeybees, bumblebees do not store large quantities of honey for winter. They collect enough nectar to maintain their colony which dies out at the end of the season, except for the queen who goes into hibernation.

Lovely shot Heather. I agree with Yves the spirea flower on top of the vibrant blue really catches one’s attention. And the great storyline as well.
