Monarch caterpillars of different sizes nibble on my milkweed plants. Since the caterpillars eat all parts of the plant, it isn't surprising to see them hiding in the buds. Also, each bud will become an individual flower...so that's lots of blooms!!

I agree with Debra, the pastel tones are beautiful and I like the contrast the caterpillars provide. A lovely capture.
