I went out for a drive with our dogs in the morning, not sure on what I would find. I could hear a bunch of Bobolinks, so I pulled over, and scanned the area. The grass right beside where I was parked started moving and a badger appeared! I was so surprised to see it, it didn't stick around long, I waited for a little bit, but never returned. I decided to take our dogs home, as they were getting pretty warm in the car, and figured we would come back out later, once I fed them and cooked dinner. We headed back out later in the afternoon, not hoping for much. That's when I saw about 30 Chukars running down the road and up the bank, I decided to follow them once they were up the hill, see if I could get some photos. I could hear quite the commotion going on, so I stopped and listened, I couldn't see anything, but were they ever making some awful noises. Then, it happened, the badger came out from where the Chukars were! I froze and it walked right out in front of where I was standing. As I was standing there, I could see movement to the right of the first one I was focused on and another one came out! I couldn't believe my luck, I'm still pinching myself, a dream come true!
